Description

Line managing a team of professional administrators delivering high quality, efficient and effective professional services for a range of maritime certificates (inter alia: dynamic positioning operator, dynamic positioning vessel maintainer, ballast control operator, ice navigator).

You will be tasked with monitoring and reporting on team performance, delegating workloads, improving processes and online solutions, contributing to developing quality products and other deliverables, and representing the NI at stakeholder and related meetings.

This post is based in the London Headquarters with the possibility of some remote working, however permission to work in the UK is a must.

An attractive benefits package is offered including a starting salary of circa £28,000 - £31,500 GBP plus 9% non-contributory pension after satisfactory completion of probation.



Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the administration of DP scheme provisions including standards and documentation
  • Manage applications process and systems including ensuring compliance with scheme criteria
  • Maintain and report on key targets and KPIs
  • Liaise with offshore companies, training centres and candidates to facilitate
  • Provide line management to staff
  • Propose articles for inclusion in monthly newsletter and other publications
  • Assist in the preparation of relevant communication circulars, memos and articles
  • Respond to customer queries and complaints, e-mail communications and calls as required
  • Carry out key supporting duties for stakeholder and other working groups as required (set agendas, prepare and circulate papers, take minutes, manage stakeholder relations, coordinate and review actions, etc)
  • Contribute to senior discussions on new technical solutions, new scheme proposals and initiatives
  • Any other work/tasks appropriate to the skills and experience of the job holder

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties; you will be expected to perform different tasks, as necessitated to achieve the overall objectives of the organisation.

ESSENTIAL

  • Educated to degree level (preferably in maritime or similar)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to prioritise and delegate work effectively
  • Demonstrable experience leading and motivating teams to deliver quality products and services
  • Able to make decisions quickly and effectively
  • Proactive; a team player
  • Calm and measured demeanor ; approachable
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office packages
  • Very good written and oral English
  • Accurate; good attention to detail
  • Strong desire to learn new skills and improve contextual knowledge
  • Comfortable engaging with multinational stakeholders in meetings and conferences
  • Demonstrable experience in customer service
  • Ability to solve problems within defined areas of work/knowledge
  • Ability to develop office policies/procedures in order to meet business needs.

PREFERRED

  • Experience in an administration role leading and motivating teams in the delivery of service excellence
  • Experience in proposing and developing new internal processes, sharing ideas
  • Experience handling CRM systems
  • Comfortable presenting to a range of audiences.
